On February 2nd 2012, Skrillex held a ‘top secret’ gig in New York City, the only people there were personally invited, with the people in the front rows at Sonny’s four gigs in New York the previous month being handed passes to the show.
Sonny, his crew and all of the fans attending were blindfolded and then taken on a blind bus-ride to the secret party location, where the walls were covered in graffiti, there were statues, performers, dancers, acrobats, fire-breathers and sword swallowers littered throughout the crowd as well as people in masks and painted to look like works of art.
The whole night just looked awesome, a real intimate and private gig where I’m sure the atmosphere was spectacular. I wish I could have been there, and I’m sure it was an unbelievable night for all involved!
